Do you ever feel like just when you seem to getting into a pretty good work/life routine, you’re suddenly overwhelmed by the amount you have to do and what is going on around you and the way time just flies by…accelerates in fact? This is me today. So after posting this I am going to make the MOTHER of all lists. I always find when I am able to consolidate my life onto a piece of A4 paper, or maybe two – all becomes well with my little part of the world…

Tangentially from that – I have chosen not to talk about the atrocity and tragedy in Manchester earlier this week. I steer clear of conflict, religion, politics here and on my social media, not because I don’t have an opinion but I would rather speak up when I have a positive solution. Though maybe it is silly to think I would, with my relative lack of detailed knowledge in these areas…and I know I would sound very hippy-esque with any solutions I might offer…love, peace etc…

I think I must be getting old as the bad, sad news everyday is getting harder and harder to bear, all over the world, not just domestically. My desire to protect my children and their generation and future generations, and give back to my community and the planet, is growing stronger and I need to work out how to channel this into something worthwhile…

On a positive note, as I go about my daily life I am making more time to stop and have a passing chat to people I meet on the way, not necessarily people I know. To be honest I love to talking to people, making eye contact and smiling – I honestly believe it is good for our souls – and I see many people doing the same. People engaging in a lovely way has got to be a good thing…ok, going to curtail this ramble (!) now, off to get organised.

Here is the week just gone in pictures. From top left clockwise we have:

1. A Friday night passion fruit martini.

2. My fave dotty Gianvito Rossi sandals.

3. Me, midweek…

4. The Balenciaga “Shaping Fashion” book by Lesley Ellis Miller to accompany the Exhibition at the V&A museum in London – on now!!

5. Deficit deadlifts at the gym earlier this week.

6. Such yumminess – blueberry pancakes at Gail’s bakery on Friday.

7. The sky at the start of the week here in London…I am hesitant to say it, but summer seems to be here…

Hope you have a wonderful day today x
